To the foreign citizen

The Preparatory Department of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining invites foreign citizens to get comprehensive and purposeful training for entry to the university and other Belarusian higher education institutions if their education corresponds to the general secondary education of the Republic of Belarus.

Training is carried out according to specially designed curricula and syllabi, ensuring the level of training necessary for entry to higher education institutions in the following profiles:

1) Economic

  • Russian as a Foreign Language
  • Mathematics
  • Russian Language. Professional Vocabulary
  • Introduction to Specialty
  • Basics of Information Technology

2) Technic-Technological

  • Russian as a Foreign Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Introduction to Specialty

3) Foreign Language

  • Russian as a Foreign Language
  • History of Belarus
  • English Language
  • Russian Language. Professional Vocabulary
  • Linguistics and Cultural Studies

4) Linguistics

  • Russian as a Foreign Language
  • History of Belarus
  • Russian Literature
  • Russian Language. Professional Vocabulary
  • Communicative Grammar

A foreign citizen prepares and submits the following documents necessary to get a study invitation

  • a notarized copy of the document on education indicating the subjects studied and the marks (points) obtained at the exams;
  • a copy of all completed passport pages of a foreign citizen.

Informing on the receipt of study invitation and Belarusian entry visa

After receiving a study invitation at the Belarusian Embassy in the applicant's home country, a foreign citizen must inform the University about the applicant's expected date of arrival in the Republic of Belarus:

Submission of documents upon arrival in the Republic of Belarus

Upon arrival in Belarus, a foreign citizen submits to the Preparatory Department of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining (academic building No2, Office 12) the following documents:

  • an application for study in the prescribed form;
  • originals of education certificate and supplements to it;
  • original medical certificate of the applicant's health which confirms his or her capacity to study in the climatic conditions of the Republic of Belarus, and which is certified by the official health authorities of the country sending the applicant to study;
  • HIV negative certificate issued by the official health authorities of the applicant's home country;
  • an obligatory insurance policy valid in the Republic of Belarus;
  • a certificate of preventive inoculations;
  • a copy of birth certificate with a notarized translation in the prescribed manner;
  • 8 photos 3х4 см;
  • applicant's ID  (passport) with an entry visa (the purpose of the visit – study) which is submitted by the applicant personally.

To the above listed documents in a foreign language a foreign citizen must submit their notarized translations into Belarusian or Russian.

The deadline for submitting documents is October 15th. The deadline for submitting documents can be extended in coordination with the Preparatory Department.

Concluding an agreement, paying tuition and accommodation fees

A foreign citizen is admitted to the Preparatory Department of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining under the Agreement on Tuition concluded between the university and the applicant.

A foreign student is guaranteed comfortable accommodation in a university dormitory.

Before training a foreign citizen must:

  • to get registered at Baranavichy Migration Office within 3 working days upon arrival in the Republic of Belarus (contact the Department of International Activities of the university);
  • to undergo compulsory medical examination in the health authorities of the Republic of Belarus.
  • to conclude agreements on tuition and accommodation;
  • to pay tuition and accommodation fees.

Faculty of Pre-University Training

Upon completion of training

Upon completing the course at the Preparatory Department, students who are successful at final exams, are issued a certificate of courses graduation and enter BarSU or other higher education institutions of the Republic of Belarus according to the existing normative and legal acts.
