On the emblem in the form of an unfolded scroll there is a conventionalized picture of a stork, whose wings are represented in the form of an open book. The bird rushes upwards, and it symbolizes the motion on the way to new knowledge, science and study. At the upper right, more honorary, part of the emblem there is an ornamental picture of a blue cornflower, demonstrating the belonging of the University to the Republic of Belarus.

The emblem is placed on a shield, which has contours of the so-called French form.
