Scientific research of Baranovichi State University is organized to solve the most important goals of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus , development of fundamental and practical scientific investigations, and improvement of professionalism of lecturers, who are able to make managing decisions on market.

Main goals of scientific activity are:

• effective application of scientific potential of staff for solving problems of scientific provision of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus ;
• quality of staff training, who is able to work in transition and market economy by effective application of the results of scientific research in the process of training;
• forming new directions, specialities and specializations of staff training;
• training of scientific-and-pedagogical personnel and re-fresher training for teaching staff;
• inculcation of scientific results into national economy and manpower policy;
• important contribution to development of higher education in the Republic of Belarus .

Main directions of scientific research

University conducts researches according to the following scientific directions:

• power supply, untraditional and renewable energy sources, energy-saving and effective energy use;
• machine mechanics, reliability and security of technical systems, increase of competitiveness of machine-building products;
• increase of efficiency of agro-industrial complex and level of product security, working out of intensive and resource-economy technologies of running agriculture;
• mathematical and physical modeling of systems, structures and processes in environment and society, informational technologies, working out of modern informational infrastructure;
• environmental safety and protection, minerals and the interior of Belarus , effective use and renewal of natural resources, prevention and liquidation of after-effects of force-majeur situations;
• theoretical and methodological fundamentals of formation of innovational socio-oriented economy in the Republic of Belarus , securing its stable development in interaction with world economic system;
• theoretical problems of culture development;
• problems of bringing-up and education, based on the articles of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus .
